Old photo of Eleni and the kids on the boat turned up in a drawer. Nobody smiling, all windblown. Put it on the fridge anyway.

Something has been ticking somewhere near the back of the house since breakfast. Every few minutes, never the same gap.

Gave the cat her evening tin and then sat on the kitchen floor with her for a while, which is probably the most company I've had all week. Clouded over here, so no Jupiter tonight. I also have a referee comment I keep rereading, and I suspect the trouble is that it's correct.

Somewhere out there a sound keeps going, tick, tick, tick, like a loose gutter or a tap nobody fixed. Driving me up the wall at lunchtime. Anyone else hearing it or is it just me losing my mind? 🎶
