Spent a good half hour at the council's new parking permit form, and not one question on it could be answered truthfully by a man of my vintage. Which box is 'other' supposed to mean? I suspect a clerk somewhere is very pleased with himself. Yours in curiosity, E.B.
A form at the tax office asked me to confirm my income 'as previously declared', then sent me a letter asking for a figure I had only ever sent them. I have the receipts. They do not have the receipts. Nobody is meant to win this.
why does the council form need my mum's maiden name to renew a bus pass. i'm 23 🙃
Honestly the whole thing is designed to make you give up, so I'm glad I didn't. Three calls was almost a record for me 😅
