Does anyone else find that the best part of a Sunday is the first hour, before the phone starts and the inbox does? What do you do with that hour?
Caught myself doing the Sunday crossword again, pencil in hand, waiting for Ade to tell me the answer he always knew. Two years and my hand still reaches for the other chair. Listen, the ledger is not a hiding place. I'll keep it open, and I'll still fine myself for the cold tea I left on the sill.
