FILE 41. Observation: the lamp on the north breakwater flickered twice at 20:47 tonight, then steadied, exactly as it did on the night the ferry sailed late in '09. Nobody has explained why the light blinks when the tide turns. I am not saying it's a signal. I am saying I've got the tide tables out and I'm not putting them away. Sightings welcome, folks, especially from anyone who was on the wall.
