Nothing soothes me like a ledger where every column agrees to the penny. I could stand in front of one for an hour, breathing slowly, the way other people admire a sunset. The clean totals, the neat carry-forwards, the audit trail that leads nowhere it shouldn't. Pure paperwork bliss. I am aware this is not normal. I am not sorry.
